Post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Computational Biology and Biophysics of Queen's University, Canada. Laboratory studies the epigenetics of cancer to identify factors contributing to disease mutation occurrence in DNA, and to discover molecular mechanisms of how these mutations can affect proteins, protein interactions, and dynamics of chromatin.
The prospective post-doctoral fellow will design and apply computational methods that involve machine learning and/or molecular modeling, molecular dynamics simulations. Laboratory works in close collaborations with several experimental groups in Canada and USA and candidates are expected to work in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in English;
- proficiency in R and/or python;
- solid knowledge of statistical methods and/or computational biophysics methods
The salary ranges between C$45K - C$55K depending on experience plus benefits. Position will be financed for two or more years. Relocation expenses are covered.
