Обязанности

BostonGene has extensive experience in Heme cancers including B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL, FL, MCL), T-cell lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, and Myeloid cancers. We focus on the lymph node microenvironment and its role in tumor progression and response to therapies including CAR-T. BostonGene has an extensive research portfolio including PMIDs: 32289277, 33541860, 33237303, 34267181, 36928817, 35687817, 36796016, and 34479963.

The position is open in the R&D Bioinformatics team, focused on research and clinical projects dedicated to blood and lymph tumors.

Job description:

  • Participate in external projects on different cancer subjects, including QC, data processing and analysis, presentation of results at internal and external meetings, iterative modification, and supplementation of analysis.
  • Participate in the research on oncogenesis and tumor properties, aimed to discover personalized biomarkers of therapeutic efficacy, and preparation of related publications.
  • Data processing, analysis, and visualization mostly use preexisting pipelines and proprietary BostonGene infrastructure/libraries/Jupyter notebooks. The main programming language is Python; occasionally R and Bash will be used. Most frequently, WES/WGS analysis will include mutations, mutation signatures, CNAs, fusions/translocations, RNAseq-gene signatures, expression-based classifiers, and differential expression.
  • Develop and incorporate new code into internal BostonGene libraries.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of an internal database of collected NGS cohorts.
  • Gain knowledge in the related subject of cancer, programming, and data analysis, including internal databases.
  • The primary focus of the participant will be concentrated on lymphomas.

Требования

  • Knowledge of fundamentals of immunology/cell biology.
  • Previous experience in cancer bioinformatics is preferred.
  • Experience working with next-generation sequencing data.
  • Experience with scientific literature and database search and analysis.
  • English language sufficient for reading and understanding of scientific articles.
  • Background in experimental work in biochemistry/molecular biology is a plus.
  • Experience with Python (pandas+matplotlib) and/or R, statistics analysis.
