Job Summary

As a Field Bioinformatics Scientist of MGI products, you will provide professional and expert supports for MGI data analysis tools and software. You will also assist salesmen in the pre-sale product introduction.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and test MGI’s software and bioinformatics pipelines;
• Provide product training according to the requirement of customers;
• Provide technical support on MGI’s bioinformatics pipelines, tools and software;
• Provide technical expertise in the development of custom bioinformatics solutions according to needs;
• Assist in the development and improvement of products by providing feedback and needs from customers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or above in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics is essential;
• Knowledge of building/supporting/using bioinformatics pipelines;
• Experience working with NGS data or other genetic information;
• Proficient in scripting/programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics pipelines (e.g., Python, Perl, R, etc.);
• Ability to travel
